All right, Doctor Who people, if you're buttering us up for the big surprise that David Morrissey is 11, then you're failing.  First of all, if he is 11, then it's the most telegraphed more, ever.  Seriously, releasing statements from Tennant saying that he supports Morrissey for 11, thenhell, the title of the Christmas special -- you're receiving one epic fail if he truly is "The Next Doctor."  It'll actually be a let down if this is the case.

PS:  I'm still supporting Jack Davenport for 11.  We've had the Doctor who says so little but it's all valuable.  We've had the Doctor who says everything in an attempt to say nothing of meaning -- except it slips out anyway.  Now is the time for practically spastic Doctor, who (pun not intended) is truly alone again and not entirely cool with it.

If Morrissey were to turn out to actually be 11, that would be completely shocking, I'll give them that.

Right now I'm believing the claim that 11 hasn't been cast yet. Or at least that they aren't going to tell RTD.

When I picture Davenport as the Doctor, I keep imagining him in one of the OldWho eps, like 'Castrovalva', dressed as Tom Baker and trying to explain to an increasingly entertained Master just why 'Lesbian Spank Inferno' was a piece of artistic Earth cinema.

I'd love "practically spastic Doctor" begging people to travel in the TARDIS.

See how brilliant that would be? Plus, it would be completely different from the Doctor of the RTD era. We need something completely different and, honestly, as much as I love the fandom, I'm tired of the joke suggestions that now people are now seriously taking as candidates.
Personally, they really need to consider the ability to deal with whatever Moffat will throw at them.
