Just saw the last episode -- which is rare because I usually make an effort never to watch finales.  It was sad but a good wind up of a show that I've loved (first three seasons, this season) and then slogged through (seasons four through six).
Although, CJ, Josh and Donna, still my favourite characters.
There have been a lot of problems with kids and bikes on the sidewalk in our neighbourhood.  A couple of times, kids have come really close to hitting my parents, and even hitting our dogs, when zipping by.  There's one little punk ass that keeps trying to ride as close as possible to my parents when their walking the dogs, and then riding away laughing when he sets them off.  Well, my Dad doesn't see so well at night, and my mom can't move that fast anymore -- some of the joys of being over 60.

So, tonight, punkass, plays the game of riding by within like 6 inches of my mother, which scares her because she didn't hear him coming.  She yells at him, at which point his little punk ass friend does the same thing screaming at my mom not to threaten his friend.  (My mom actually just yelled out in surprise, not actually saying anything.)

So, I went outside about ten minutes later, found the friend and told him that my Dad doesn't see that well, my mom doesn't move that well, and they're senior -- who do they think is going to win next time when we call the cops?  Plus, if they actually hit either my parents or one of the dogs (which could potentially kill them) he wouldn't want to see the fallout from that.  The friend was all very apologetic (he's the type that'll be a punk-ass when his friends are around, but I don't think is actually that bad of a kid) and said it wouldn't happen again.  Who knows?  It's not like I threatened him -- I just used my upset teacher voice.  The voice that says, "I'm disappointed more than angry but I swear on everything holy if you sass me I'll so see you punk-ass suspended."  [personal profile] travellingone and [profile] bedelia77 have seen that voice used in public before.

So hopefully, it'll be the end of those kids bugging my parents on the evening walk.  Although, I did tell my dad that next time, he should walk with his cane.  The back wheel is an easy catch when the kid's not looking, just as a back-up plan.
